Opps think this should be in the Pedal Powered Section, no doubt a mod will move it...

The front forks are Manitou Spyder 1 1/8 (28mm), circa 1998, this is where I’m having problems the fork wiper seals are weeping at the top but my google foo has run out, I can't seem to find any spares I have the repair pdf but the seals allude me.

Can I use any other 28mm seals in this situation?

I may have to bite the bullet and swap to another front fork and money iI don’t really wish to fork out on.

The rest of the bike is an old Raleigh 200 MTB I think it’s from 1999 built in England by the SP Division, it was apparently a downhill racer, it’s in poor paint condition the frame is 7005 T6 heat treated aluminium tig welded, the front wheel is a Gipiemme 26" Made in Italy & has a Hero spindle, the rear rim is a Weinmann 525 26x1.75 25x559 (hard to read some of the numbers) & made in Belgium which a has a Sachs Mallard freewheel 5 sprocket 14,17,20,24.28 unfortunately the sprocket has a few teeth missing, I have purchased a new old stock Mailard with slightly different gearing. Wheel is Made in Belgium they have cleaned up really well and seem to run fairly true both rims have an approx 3mm lip on one side, don't know what thats about! we also have Shimano Aliio RD-MC16 Derailleur & Shimano Alivio FD-MC18 Front Derailleur 34.9mm in Silver

So far I’ve bought a new SunRace Bottom bracket which seems the same that is already there, a new chain a Gear Shifter 3x8 24 Speed Shift Lever Cable Trigger for Shimano Acera UK, which is identical to what’s on the bars I will be spraying it in a similar colour a metallic yellow and I will highlight the ends of the tubes and such in a dark Metallic orange.

I have no knowledge about bikes just what i've learnt from stripping it down, I'll post some pics as I go along.

Seals are really easy to find.

All you need is the internal diameter (measure the outside of the fork stantion), the outside diameter (measure the inside of the fork leg where the seal sits) and the thickness of the existing seal.

Have a look on ebay and guaranteed someone will have them.
