Speedo cable location - NC29

Hi all.
I am as certain as I can be that my 400 had a working speedo when I bought it.
I removed the dash bolts in order to replace the dash bulbs and when I took it out next the speedo was no longer functioning.
Removed it again and now can’t see the speedo cable anywhere...!
It’s as if it has completely vanished.
Please can anyone help with the routing of the cable and where the drive is taken from so I can attempt to trace it, or fit a new one.
