TL:DR ... Tyre suggestions, please.

I've been running Pirelli Angel GTs for the last couple of years and find them great when new, but increasingly edgy after the first couple of thousand KM. Bike is a Ducati Scrambler with an 18" front, limiting tyre choice.

The Angel GTs have enough grip but the front just falls into turns a bit oddly, and the rear squirms a bit.

So, should I be thinking about something else?

Priority is grip, predictability is second, tyre life is third.

Thinking about the Dunlop Roadsmart III and Michelin PR3 as alternatives.

Why not go back to the original MT60 tyre?

I loved them when I had my Scrambler and they perform a hell of a lot better than their looks suggest.

The limiting factor in corners wasn't due to the tyres, it was the shotgun exhaust at first which was soon remedied by fitting an SC Project can, and then the headers started to go down after that.

The biggest problem with tyres for those bikes is the choice available due to the wheel size. After trying a couple of different 'normal' tyres I went back to the MT60's on mine.

I could provide you with a really good answer to this, as I run a motorcycle tyre shop and we have had a few customers with similar issues on the Scrambler but every time I reply, someone at PH deletes it. Ho hum.

They are deleting it because you are using it as an advert. If you give the advice without promoting your business they will leave it but obviously that takes away your reason for doing it.

I saw your original post. Looked OK to me. I've reported blatant advertising on here before and nothing has been removed so I guess you are in someone's bad books.

Nice one Tricky, hope you got the advice you were after.

Mr Tom, I disclosed who I was and that also hopefully gives some credibility to my reply.

I’m not having a go, just telling you why they are deleting it. I saw your post and it was good advice.

Thanks Al. Looking at that list, I think #23 is about the only rule I can definitely say I won't be breaking.

Consider my wrist slapped.
