Paris anti-noise police...

Please, please bring this into the UK. I like the sound of a nice engine but that doesn't include 2-stroke mopeds, Harley's with straight through pipes and race-cans on Japanese high revving motorcycles. Farty 4cyl engines with a big popping exhaust also deserve to driven from the roads.

They are trialling these noise enforcement cameras in the UK. https://www.gov.uk/government/news/new-noise-camer...
Yet another nail in the motorcyclist/ drivers coffin.
All about the money and even more control. The more the sheep bleet and follow the sooner this happens right across the board.
There is far more happening in this dying country than motorcycle noise
This only my opinion of course,.so I dont wish to get into the usual biker section arguments

This is definitely not surprising and is a reflection of just how pissed off people get with noisy vehicles - often motorcycles.
Unlike automated speed enforcement, where it is very much about avoiding having to spend the money on the real safety issues, noise enforcement really is about reducing the impact of selfish t
ts on thousands of others. It is very unlikely that the money generated will cover the cost of the equipment, it's maintenance and the cost of prosecuting people but it still viewed as worth doing.
Those with load pipes only have themselves to blame.

Surely the noise level to trigger prosecution just needs to be reduced to a level where the system operates profitably?Unlike automated speed enforcement, where it is very much about avoiding having to spend the money on the real safety issues, noise enforcement really is about reducing the impact of selfish t
