Calling Birky 41, Broadsword calling Danny Boy.....

Question regarding luggage on your Tuono..

What do you use for your tours??

A friend is looking at new bikes and is discounting the Tuono due to percieved luggage issues..

Any advice?

Cheers

Top tip Steve, if you want to attract the attention of someone on the forum by calling out there name, at least make sure you put the right name in the title of your post biggrin

If it's any help, I had the previous gen Tuono and did a few Euro trips with a set of Kriega bags on the back (30 and two 10s, iirc) plus a small tank bag, although it was a strap-on (ooerr) as the tank cover is plastic. Carried all my crap including a big f-off lock & chain.

My mate tours on a Tuono and also just uses Kriega bags. This was from a US road trip in 2016, 7 days away.

Good old kriega or hepco Becker do a plate which attaches instead of seat cowl you can put a top box on.
My brother has a ventura rack on his, all work well

Yep I can help here. I have 2 different setups. Kriega US20 with the dedicated fixings for a Tuono on shorter journeys (this is fine for 2-3 days away)

Or Hepco base and Givi top box for the longer tours. I did one in 2018 for 10 days and had enough for the whole trip

If you need pics let me know. The setup worked perfect - not a single issue. Just did a lot of research before hand

Fantastic, thanks so much thumbup

He loves the Tuono but was dispirited about the luggage issues, even the dealer telling him it can't be done....

Cheers!

It definitely can be done and works just fine

Kriegga one is simple. The bigger tours just do the below. Not pretty but definitely does the job
