So this afternoon I had to make a fuel and shopping trip in my van down to Costco in Liverpool, lovely sunny day I'm traveling with the flow of traffic (30 zone)listening to some music when I spot a bike behind me in my mirror, next thing he comes tearing past me cuts in front just before the upcoming roundabout and it's then I notice he's in shorts and tee shirt, trainers with no socks and no gloves on, I think it was one of those BMW twin affairs with a rorty pipe on it, then as soon as the road straightened out a little he's off again weaving in and out towards oncoming traffic.
I have been riding and owning bikes since I was old enough to get a fizzie on the road in 1978 and have seen and done a lot of daft things in my time but FFS I wish I could have slapped the stupid out of him, I was f*cling livid
I sat there fuming imaging the shrine on a lamp post somewhere with the obligatory red or blue and white scarves hanging from it and thinking it would have served the tit f*cking right
Absolute knobber !!!

Its called freedom to choose.

Everyday people drink alcohol and smoke tabocco. A couple of the biggest killers on the planet, do you fume over that ?

Life and freedom comes with risks. You choose your own level of risk and reward.

Live and let live.

Someone making their own decisions and not doing what I would do! What a knobber! How stupid are people for not making the same decision as me? Just as well that I'm perfect!

Yep, **** him. And numerous posts about his recovery and battle scars wouldn't interest me either.

You were livid, got your blood pressure up and stressed yourself out...and the guy did not even know it.
So why all this drama? Chill out.
Karma will catch up with him sooner or later.

Just what exactly does it have to do with you what someone else decides to do? I jumped out of an aeroplane once, that was exciting.

Possibly because if he does have an accident it will involve others who weren’t riding like a cock with zero thought and consideration for those around.
I’ve had two insurance claims for this year for tossers using the road like a race track.
One was full recovery and still buggered my insurance excess, the other going up the back of me on a roundabout was split 50/50 simply because it was a roundabout and all claims on a roundabout are split 50/50 by the insurance company.

The personal financial fall out from increased premiums is several thousand pounds this year alone so I think the original poster has every right to feel pissed off.

Let’s not even start getting on to if he injured someone else.

Some are idiots. If they fall off with no gear on, and don't injure anyone other than themselves...fk them. A case of adults making choices and very much tough st.

let's control everything
let's protect people from themselves
more rules, controls, fines, sentences, etc...
I hope you know where this leads...

Please, never ride anywhere in Europe when it's sunny. You'll have to be carted away in an ambulance.

The obligatory PH summer "Erhmagerrrrd, saw someone riding in a T shirt & shorts" thread.

Went out on the bike today actually. It was 38 degrees.

Not this again.....
Where does OP draw the line? Perhaps ban motorcycling altogether?? Or maybe go the French route & stick bits of hi-viz all over your bike/lid/jacket etc?
Compulsory airbag suits anyone????
