I can't think of anything other than custom type engines which will be limp as you've done a ducati already.

I saw your name on the thread and assumed you'd be touting the TRX...

Maybe, I wasn't wow'd by mine, too soft, poor brakes, bit slow, it was nice enough as a roadster but lacked sparkle.

OP: As I've just bought an injected one, how about a Guzzi?

Honda VTR firestorm seems like a good option and change from your Ducati marvels. They’re cheap as chips and apart from the cam chain (O Honda you never could do a cam chain) which for you would a piece of piss.

I’d like to see one one with your styling and engineering touch, think it would be a hell of a bike. Not so much an SP-1 but an SB-1 biggrin

And the Carbs are pretty big!

What's the project objective??
Restoration or conversion?
if conversion, then to what? Bobber, Cafe etc?

yamaha has the XV range, not sure if carb'd, there's the usual Ducati's such as Monsters, Supersports and ST's, obvioulsy the cruiser end of the spectrum from the japanese and HD...

Then of course, you could take an EFI engine and fit carbs if the perfect engine isn't available......
