Small admission,

Always has a sneaking love for the 'noughties' muscle bikes like the Suzuki 1400, Honda CB 1300 and the ZRX

So with the economic effects of the C-19 pandemic beginning to bite, there's some choice bikes appearing on the market.

And browsing the usual sites, I stumbled upon this little girl for about 3k GBP.

2004 ZRX12 with 10k miles and in mint condition.

So what's the opinion here?

Retro fun worth a small punt as a minor collectible celebrity or an old nail that is better remembered than revisited??

I like it! My return to biking was on a similarly painted Kawasaki but it was...erm...a GT750.

Absolutely love them. Has been on my radar for some time now. They still ride well by modern standards, although partially because the big torquey carbed motor makes up for any chassis foibles at 6/10ths. They are especially popular in Germany for some reason.

Love it, for some reason I have never had one of these but always liked the look of them.

If it's genuine buy it. Good ones generally sell for more than that.

I like how they look but they are heavy lumps with a clunky feeling five speed box.

I’d want a decent test ride first.

Proper "man's bike" territory there.

Normally owned by skinny guys of 5'8" or less who are a little bit scared it might fall on them so barely use it...

Big, unwieldy, underbraked etc etc, but you're not buying it to get your knee down.

I like them.

Great snapshot in muscle bike history, in the most wanted colour. Snap it up and love it!

Given the asking price for some examples, they must be very good.

I bought a ZRX1100 a year ago after battling with modern superbikes and old clunkers..i love it as its rides nearly like a modern bike but looks super retro..i think a good bike more than 3k though tbh, theres a nice 1100 on ebay now..

That's a cracking deal, 3 grand with 10k miles in the best colour. I'd be all over that.

Centurion is a long way away. That bike is about half the price of what it should be in that condition with that mileage which would make me very suspicious. If it's legit though it's an absolute bargain and you should snap it up.

Great bike. The press tried to steer people toward slugs like the bandit1200 or yamaha1300 (its got ohlins shocks!) all the time.
Should have been more zxr1200's around now.
