Fracture to his pelvis and back. Internal bleeding is under control.
Still being monitored as he might also have vertebrate fractures.

Part of a multi-bike accident at Silverstone when someone’s engine let go. I think he was probably okay in falling off the bike but got clobbered by a bike when he was in the gravel trap.

Good luck to him - looked horrible.

No mate, superbikes quali on Sat, someone put some oil down and 5 or 6 riders following came off, unfortunately Alex was hit by one of the bike still doing circa 80mph.

Yep...I winced watching it, hope he makes a speedy recovery. Could have been a lot worse I suppose but that wont make alex feel any better right now....

It was quite telling how serious it was when they didn't show any replays of the accident during the broadcast. You could tell it was a bad one then.

I was there and saw it. Was bad, i think it was Barbera's bike that let go, but those that crashed seemed to be momentarily unaware of what may be happening behind them....

When i crash, if everything seems to work, i am up and away ASAP just in case someone's just fked it up like i did!

ITV4 showed it on the highlights show earlier tonight, looked awful.
