I posted another thread about 125s - I finally found one (difficult to do so at the mo).

Phone/nav will be useful so I'd like to talk tech. As a newcomer I see you have headsets for 'group riding chat' as well as bluetooth sets for your phone (I guess you could just use airpods/etc for this?).

Do any of these support all functions as well as 'hey google' / 'hey siri' (to program the nav, find a fuel stop, etc etc)? I've no plans to group ride so I guess I can ignore that, however I'd like to operate the phone by voice even if it's in a pocket. At a stretch I guess it could read your messages etc but I really don't want those sorts of distractions except for emergency comms/calls.

Yes, my Cardo does and I use it all the time.

You just say 'hey cardo' or 'ok google' and it just works like your phone would.

My Sena S20 doesn't, but I don't know if that is the headset or my phone.

It will.link to the phone to play music/satnav etc, but voice control wont unlock the phone l

My interphone tour does, you do have to press a button on the headset to get it to listen, and as the phones in your pocket make sure you speak clearly, when you say “call xxxx” and it calls someone who’s been in your phone book that you’ve not spoken to for the past 10 years it can make for an interesting call!!

Is it an android phone? On my Samsung I couldn't get it to work, turns out it needed a permission.
One day with the phone in hand but the helmet on, I said ok Google. It came up with a permission request, gave it permission and it worked perfectly ever since.

I also find it's most reliable with a tiny gap in the sentence. Ok google... why is the sky blue.

It's an android phone running Android 9

"Ok Google" works on the phone when it's in my hand and switched on , but won't wake it when it has gone to sleep (sorry, I'm not that au fait with the terminology)

I did a bit of research and I'm intrigued to know how people get their phone to wake on voice.
On the Google Assistant settings, when you turn voice assistant on, it says "Access your assistant by saying "OK Google" any time your screen is on"

So I don't see how to get voice control to wake up the phone at all.

A little OT, but am I the only one who likes to press the stater button and only hear the engine, wind and the road until the kill switch is engaged?

on my sena 20s, I push the button at the back and then can give voice instructions to Google on my Samsung.("read new texts", etc). I can't activate it by voice (or if I can, I don't know how).

Call me a freak, but I like to hear all that plus a bit of Taylor Swift.

This thread prompted me to have another go at it so after much Googling i finally got it to work.

That setting ^^^ was set OK, but still didn't work.

I had to go into the Google Assistant settings - Assistant - Assistant Devices - Phone - and switch on Lock Screen Personal Results to get it to work.

Can't hear the wind or the road as I have earplugs in, I much prefer to listen to music whilst just cruising around and have satnav instructions audible.

For anyone having trouble with getting it to wake on "OK Google" or "Hey Siri", on the Sena SRL if you hold the centre button for a couple of seconds (one beep I think) then wait a second the phone will wake up in assistant mode, just as if you'd spoken at it. Has worked for me on both Android and iPhone and most headsets have an equivalent button press.

Great for saying "Play Taylor Swift on Spotify" hehe
