Euro 5 comes into force on 1st Jan 2021, wonder how late this year dealers will wait before pre registering non compliant bikes.

I'm interested in a new GSX-R1000R, so I'm waiting to see what happens. Made enquiries about another new S1000RR a while ago, and was abruptly brushed off when I asked about some discount.

I'm very interested in this as I'm looking at a RR to replace my single R.

I understand that Euro 4 is between 2016-2020 and after that period it's euro 5?

Hi Chicken, thanks. I wouldn't want to take up your time however I was just wondering how we can identify where these deals are possible? I have seen a few 17+ bikes that are keenly priced and wondered if they were part of what you suggested?

Are there any tax penalties or city exclusions planned yet for Euro IV (or indeed Euro III) bikes ?

Thanks, so would I need to call this chap to access a deal? I'm a serious buyer as I'm forced by slightly odd circumstances (house move) to change to a slightly slimmer bike (to access rear of the house). And as I love BMW's and wouldn't otherwise sell my single R it makes sense to move to the RR.

No current restrictions AFAIK. There are future restrictions in Paris where Euro II is excluded, followed by Euro III being excluded.

Bikes are not subject to Belgian ULEZ zones but I think that is more to do with their ANPR not being reliable for bikes than anything else. So they restrictions may apply to bikes in future. Personally I would not buy a Euro III bike.

I'd be interested in another BMW RR if it was the same spec as the GSX-RR, and the same money, ie around £15k. I'm not really interested if I get the take it or leave it attitude BMW had in the summer.
