Happy...? Or not?
What do you think? It will be a welcome reverse if they do manage to get Small Heath up and running again.
Fingers crossed....

Billionaires throwing money at the UK looks good to me.
From the article he sounds respectful of the brand, and rather than just throw out another purely "retro" bike into a saturated and established market he looks to be trying to have an electric USP using a good brand with a British badge on it.
Royal Enfield looks good enough these days with a similar operation isn't it?
Best of luck to him.

Another case Legacy fraud.........
Not necessarily - I would have thought that it's more a case of finding a country daft enough to give pots of R&D and tax breaks to billionaires
As said above, on the face of it, having a willing source of funds for UK R&D is a Good Thing. Whether that R&D comes to anything, and whether that "anything" leads to UK based volume manufacture is a bit nebulous.

I’d say it’s the opposite. If they were rattling out retro caff racers it would be “legacy fraud”. Making a modern, up to date machine with new technologies is exactly what BSA should have been doing. In fact if they had they may not need rekindling now!
