Possibly the most exciting moments of the season yet to come this weekend...

Especially after Valencia .... watched a quick vid tonight as the teams did a track walk and just reminds you how much the circuit rises and falls, sometimes flattened a bit by TV coverage.

WSB bikes take off at Portimao, so a MotoGP bike might will really fly.

Also turn 1, if you can’t stop your bike this far into the season you’re going to have a long race on Sunday.

I’m properly excited to see these guys fighting for pride on this circuit.

Really looking forward to seeing the racing and as johno said, tv really flattens the circuit, turn 1 lap 1 could be carnage.

In Moto3 I think more will take the run off than the track.

There's load of run off at turn 1, they shouldn't loose that much time if they run on..

..Unless their brakes fail.

I love Portimao. If you haven’t been then you won’t really understand just how up and down it is. This weekend could be epic.

Turn 1 is OK, but the last turn onto the start / finish straight is something else, cranked over just throwing gears at it. In fact, every corner is just fantastic, it’s up, down all over the place, blind crests, braking hard as hell on steep downhills.

I love it and can’t wait to see the top riders go to a circuit they don’t know well at all.

Could be awesome

Hopefully it will get added to the calendar next year rather than being on the reserve list and we can actually go.

Not sharing the excitement guys, glad it's the last race, it's been a season of making the best of a crap year.

Glad the MotoGP championship is over, everyone can ride for themselves but I don't think it'll be "st or bust" incase they do a Marquez. Will be rooting hard for Sam but accept and will respect a Bastiannini win, he's a very good rider and deserves his promotion. I would like to see a McPhee win helping Ogura to the title, I think Arenas is too consistent for that though.

I can't wait for it, the racing has been one of the few things I've had to look forward to this year!

Agreed re Sam, hope he can do it but Bastianini is a likeable lad and very good at what he does, would have preferred Bez if not Sam but losing those couple of places on the last lap last week really did for him, can't really see past a Bastia title unless he bins it - which I guess is a real possibility on a brand new track (to them).

Moto3 I'm not really fussed who gets the title as for some reason can't particularly warm to either. Will be interesting to see how Ogura goes on the Moto2 bike next year, think I've probably just missed an announcement but is Arenas moving up too?

Think he's going to Aspar alongside Canet.

Good looking track, reminds of Philip Island with all the undulations. All seem to be going well at the moment, KTM and Ducati perhaps not quite as well as Yamaha & Suzuki.

Has Aprilia sorted the rider out for next year yet?

Whaaaat?!

It's been great!

No MM pissing off into the distance every race. Back to back to back races. Championship only decided at the penultimate race and now we're off to a track nobody has any experience of on a MotoGP bike and most of the riders have never been to.

I was actually talking about Moto2 and 3 but all of them are gonna be great! bounce

Well I've missed Marc but am glad Joan clinched the title, very deserving.

I'll take what I said about KTM back, Miguel just ended the sessions fastest on medium tyres and Pol was up there too. Dovi top Duc in 12th, hohum.

Portsmouth to Santander then an easy days ride I think. smile

No news on Aprilia front but Savadori seems to be doing his best to hang on, although Aprilia times in FP1 were set on soft tyres vs mediums for the rest.

And he has the advantage of knowing the track from WSBK but also because Aprilia tested here.

I didn't mean this weekend! wink

Forgot Savadori tested here, guessing Bradl did too given his performance this morning.
