Not overly helpful because I can’t remember exactly what I had to do but I can confirm that it was a relative piece of piss...just went to the Post Office with all the paperwork from its previous life (in Spain, in my case), filled out a form or two, paid a few quid and not long after the V5 etc. came through the post...

ETA. IIRC it has to be done at a specific Post Office, so I had to go to Peterborough and possibly make an appointment but it was otherwise straight forward enough.

I recently had to do it.

There are online forms for NOVA and it was all very simple, I had a reply saying along the lines of - all done you can apply to the DVLA - within days

I then sold it but I believe registering it is pretty straightforward for older bikes
