Just arrived in Tenerife yesterday and surprised by the number of bikers!

They can’t all be local since there were many sports bikes compared to the usual sports tourers.

Must have seen over 400 bikes (in groups or in pairs or parked up at the road side) when driving over the mountain from the airport to the north.

Have to say it was a great sight to see.

Is there another bike launch going on?

Triumph launched the Trident there a week or 2 ago.

I should be there in January too, I've got a bike booked from Tenerife Triumph for a few days too.

It's like that every weekend in the canaries. I remember being sat by the pool at the bottom of a valley hearing them coming down then back up all weekend, plumped there reading bike mags in the blazing sun thinking 'can't wait to get back on the bike when I'm home'.

Forgot it was November, fking snowing when I got home.

Not sure when the Trident launch was, but how do they get journos from all over Europe gathered together? Did everyone forget about the pandemic?

There was no restriction on travel to the island and no requirement in England to quarantine on return until last Saturday...Journos can WFH anyway

It was before you had to quarantine on the way back. Everyone there was wearing a mask indoors and out, social distancing etc. Plus we were wearing helmets a lot of the time. We all had to have a negative Covid test from within 72 hours before the flight too.
