Sure I'll get flamed for this but here goes.....

What the fk was he doing on the bike in the first place? Oh, yeah, he nicked it.

Loss of life is sad, but he shouldn't have been stealing the fking thing in the first place.

Play stupid games. Win stupid prizes.

Some sympathy, but.... he drove dangerously for some distance in the chase and could easily have hit someone else and killed an innocent. That sort of behaviour has to be discouraged.

And no one really deserves to die for stealing a bike.

Maybe I’m having a bad day but if it’s one of these multiple offenders that are nicking bikes on a weekly basis then sod his life.

10 years is a big price to pay for wanting your bike back, but he did drive dangerously it seems so while its harsh he killed someone.....However we live in a society where your property you work hard to pay for is stolen mever to be seen again and even if you know who took it the police do nothing because stolen cars, bikes etc are not a high priority.

At least one of the thieves wont be doing it again....perhaps the moral is don't nick peoples stuff and you won't run the risk of stealing from the sort of person who will actually hunt you down and kill you

I don't disagree - it's how I would feel if I had had several bikes nicked- I've felt angry enough about pedal cycles being nicked- but that is why victims don't decide punishments!

The guy who was killed was a well known local piece of garbage. There is no sympathy locally.

I know you’re right, but I have had two bikes nicked by someone that is well known to the police for nicking bikes but they can’t ever get anything on him, then add insurance premiums nearly quadrupling and yes it leaves me very bitter.

I think we'd all chase a thief if they nabbed our p&j but it's food for thought for what can happen in the heat of the moment.

Maybe the real story is the failure of the police and judiciary to address the core issue here of bike theft appropriately. The Police and judiciary should hang their heads in shame. They are the ones who should be in the dock.

Police statement:
'Regardless of his actions, he did not deserve to die in this way and the nature of some of the comments already being posted is deeply upsetting to his loved ones who have done nothing to deserve the pain and grief they continue to experience at this time.

'Please be kind to each other and show respect. If you watch the video compilation of this offender's driving you will agree the streets are safer with him behind bars.'

Dinisoae acted disproportionally and drove dangerously; only himself to blame for being banged up. That said, my sympathy for the dead guy or his family, contrary to the police suggestion, is a big fat fking zero.

Where do you suggest police resources are taken from to address the issue in the way you would like?

Yes you’re right with the point you are making but does that make it ok?

Nice try but your attempt to turn this into a poor police argument won't wash. Please explain why you believe the current position to be acceptable? The police and judiciary (you ignored them) are paid to do a job. Clearly they have failed, no ifs, no buts.... I'm all ears....

Should have got perhaps a year behind bars, a decade is a joke considering that other killers get suspended sentences.

Have no sympathy for the dead as gaurenteed he would have priors for doing exactly the same thing and would likely already had a suspended sentence.

Police have done themselves no favours taking this to court and you can see what the public think

Maybe Pothole could get the police diverted from this politically correct drivel. Imagine the savings if they concentrated on doing their job properly. FFS.....

Let’s have it right. Thieves get an easy time with our utterly hopeless Police. Zero sympathy for them, you steal from the wrong person you roll the dice. It’s just a shame that the victim is held up to account for his actions in such a way, but then, that’s what we have to expect.

Like I estimate 90% of the population would think, less than zero sympathy for the plebs that stole the bike, and sad for the bloke that got banged up. He should have got a suspended sentence or something.

An outside opinion on our police force in the UK. They have a police and judiciary that work, not a circus of clowns..
