There’s a slow burner thread on General Gassing of whom has the best garage on Ph (as a structure). I am more bike orientated than car so thought I’d kick off a BB edition.

So go on, show us your garage. No rules. Whether that’s your actual garage structure...or just your bikes!

I’ll start, here’s my mess with my KTM Duke 790 nestled in. We bought the house to do up and I’ve never had a garage before so at the moment it’s just a temporary dump. Plans for the next few months are to do the floor with Duramat, paint walls white, board out the ceilings and put better lights in.

It was just a shell with no electric etc and rotten doors/wet walls when I moved in, so even worse than it is now!

I've spent the day clearing mine but you'd be hard pressed to tell

I'll post a pic by the end of the week (hopefully)

I’d be happy just to have a garage.

After a lifetime of bikes that lived under covers I finally managed get a house with a back gate and garden so I could buy a wooden shed big enough for my bike.

I feel like I’ve failed at life

I'll openly say I'm proud of my garage, one of the main reasons for moving house a few years back. The photos are from the floor was being mopped smile

Ducati is now gone, replaced by a Daytona Moto2.

I hope that's not the case. As a working class guy who's done ok and hopefully humble with it, as such I appreciate what others have as a fellow petrol head.

Absolutely. That's something that's noticeable at bike events in this country. Turn up on a nice (expensive) bike and you get snide comments. Do the same on the continent and you're made to feel like you've done everyone a favour by bringing something nice for people to look at!

Love the photo of the Indian against the Duke. Juxtaposition of old and new.

Well I'll resubmit mine as its only for bikes! Its small and the house looks into it, so I've had to make the space work. To the right are some old ikea cupboards that I'm trying to figure out how to improve.

Mine is definitely nothing to write home about. But I'm sure it was Bob_Defly??? Who posted a picture a little while back that showed his garage off (not intentionally) and I have been very jealous of it ever since.

Great thread!

Keep them coming smile

The GG thread and others on Homes & DIY were great help to me - I've spent 4 months slowly refurbishing my garage. It's gone from a crumbling, damp, leaky wreck to somewhere worth keeping the bike in. New roof, repointed walls, painted walls, painted floor, soft mats on floor, Big Dug shelfing.....20 trips to the dump, a lot of freecycling and ebay sales of all the junk we had kept....

Not much to write home about, but still delighted to have a garage. I do have an electric up and over door though- one of my best purchases!

No. Need to keep kitchen stuff out otherwise the missus will insist on a drier in there. frown
