As title really, new battery, checked all fuses including starter solenoid one and all loom plugs.

When i turn the key nothing happens, no instrument lights, nothing. Battery leads are fine, earths look clean.

So, anyone got any suggestions as to what else it might be?

Unplug the ignition switch then use jumper wires to make the circuit, rules out or confirms the switch then

Rectifier is prone to failure on these. Buy from ebay uprated for around £17

Cheers for all replies.

I’m guessing it’s not the r/r as it’s not even giving me the instrument cluster lights, iirc r/r failure still allows the engine to turn over?

I’m guessing ignition barrel as well so i’ve pulled it and am rigging one off a cbr600 i know works tomorrow.

Whoever suggested the igniton switch, is this the same as the ignition barrel or is there something else i’ve missed?

Mini update, yep it’s a fault in the ignition barrel wiring. Unplugged and jumped the battery to switchgear/instruments and it all lit up like xmas. Testing barrel connections now to see if it’s just dirt or proper fecked.

Picture tax...

Many thanks again biggrin

I meant barrel, I upgraded my cbr600fx reg rec to a yamaha r1/r6 one, much larger stronger unit
