Position of knee armour?
Discussion
It sounds roughly correct (a smidgen low, perhaps?). But what’s essential is that the knee armour can’t budge in a crash. If you can rotate it off your knee with only your hand, then there’s a good chance it won’t stay in place in an accident. Often, trousers need to be more snug than you realise (the same goes for jacket sleeves regarding elbow armour).
One of the compromises with Kevlar jeans is that it’s hard to find the right fit that keeps knee armour in place reliably. And it’s a significant benefit of well-fitting leathers: knee and elbow armour won’t budge in a crash.

Tricky isn't it! I always struggle with this with my jeans - trying to figure out how I'll hit the road and so where I need the armour. I tend to have mine so the top of pad is just across the top of my knee when standing. This gives them a comfortable bend when I'm on the bike and means they cover the knee when my leg is extended - as it probably will be if I fall off!

I use Knox Flex-Lite knee armour under my riding jeans. The built-in pockets are just too loose.
SameI crashed my dirt bike at low speed whilst wearing my road trousers and the knee pads moved and my knee was badly bruised
I bought the forcefield graph / limb tubes - I tried the knox but they were too bulky
