I had a dream...... (plastic scratch repair)
Discussion
.... that one time, I would own a bike which I didn’t tip over in a carpark.
Unfortunately that dream is out of reach still, with the F800GT going over for a lie down last night due to the side stand not being out fully.
There’s some scratches on a black plastic pannier. What’s a good way to buff them out?
I’ve read about sanding it with five sandpaper and painting with plastic paint. OTOH I’ve also seen badly painted repairs on panniers on other bikes, which look s

I stuck reflective GB stickers on my panniers to cover scratches on one after an incident with a metal bollard on a French harbourside.

^ I understand he only ended up with a sore thumb. Could have been a lot, lot worse. End up in the water and drown with the weight on your gear. End up in the water, bike land on top of you, drown. Any number of permutations, none of them good. I’d be getting a standing order of lottery tickets to come out with only a sore thumb.
