Would it be made to buy one of these for touring/Sunday fun rides?
Anyone got any experiences good or bad?

Used to use them as a student, working for a firm that used them to tow trailers carrying advertising hoardings. Took a lot of abuse, an without the trailers surprisingly quick. Didn't weigh a lot either.

Flat out was around 80mph (indicated). Given everything the OP has posted they might actually work for him.

If it really is for weekend rides and you have somewhere to store it at home, then it will probably be ok and not get stolen. I’d still use a 13mm chain when you park it for your Sunday lunch though.

I’ve had two of the 300s
A miley one I bought cheap to see if I liked it, and to go with my PX
It’s brilliant, and two of my mates, and my dad (71) have since bought them too.
I’ve changed mine to the latest fancy HPE supertech, and it’s a bit more powerful. Sits at 75, runs on to 80 ok, flies away from lights etc. I don’t miss big heavy manual shift bikes.
I’ve been to Europe on mine, they’re actually really nice to tour too. I’m in Central Scotland, 50, some NCD and it’s about 100 odd quid to insure it.
Would absolutely recommend (I never ride my two stroke PX now, it’s so much better)
