Talk to me about Oberon clutch slave cylinders – are they worth it? Are there any downsides, or is it all sunlit Oberon uplands with a lighter clutch pull?

I've got 2 of them on my Honda's... can't say I noticed any difference apart from being all shiny shiny...

Is this bore size different on the Honda to the Oberon?

People often stick them on Ducatis as the size is definitely different and it therefore does change the ratio.

Oh I have no idea, sorry.

They're actually both the same part from Oberon.. fitted on a RC51 and a Pan European.

Don't know if that helps any further.

KTM690 owners swear by them, but I understand KTM has since rectified the design fault in the OE units which apparently fail on a regular basis.

i fitted one to my zzr when it went, i think it was cheaper than the original, looked pretty but didn't notice much difference. One of the supplied bolts wasn't long enough so has to use the originals

I fitted one to my Aprilia last year. The Aprilia one is known to leak. I was just going to replace the seal, but when I got it apart the shaft had worn also. The Oberon was cheaper than the Aprilia one. It feels much better now, but the other was worn and would get stiff when it got hot.

I wouldn't waste my money replacing it, if there is nothing wrong with the one you have.

Have one on my Superduke GT - significantly better than the original.
