Unusually large number of bikes on the M40

Headed to work this morning on the M40, I saw a very large number of bikes heading North. Most of them 2 up and loaded with camping gear.
I guess the lucky sods we’re headed to Assen.

Could have been heading to the ABR adventure bike weekend at Ragley Hall, near Startford-upon-Avon

Unlikely to be heading north on m40 for Assen, theyd do the tunnel and ride it.

Plus, of course, they’d not be allowed in Netherlands.

Just a thought, but could they be headed for the 1st Round of the BSB at Oulton Park?

I had a little run out today and stopped for fuel at the little petrol station at Tenbury Wells (I think it's got four pumps). There were about 30 bikes on the forecourt, mostly ADV bikes loaded up for a couple of days away by the look of it. I nodded hello but didn't stop and chat so dunno if it was the same group you saw or where they were headed. Could have been the same lot you saw.
