Prompted by the Bouncy Bits thread...

I'm sure I read a very detailed post on here several years ago about suspension setup. It started with advice to use Renthal medium grips (done that) and went on to describe setting sag, compression and rebound. I think it was written by a long-established poster, maybe Steve Bass?

I have searched and I can't find it, does anybody recognise the post I'm on about? Anybody got a link?

I dont have a link but all the info you need for bike setup (and tons of other info) is in Lee Parks book....£16 well spent

my local bike shop run suspension setup classes regularly and recently I heard they are selling a handy tool for setting/checking sag on your own https://parkitt-performance-motorcycle-racing.mysh... cant find it in their online shop yet though

Dave Moss has some great video's on suspension set-up. They key is to record the settings BEFORE you make any adjustments..

Yep, and if you have a used bike, always getting the manual and checking/starting with factory settings and see if you like those. A previous owner may have been significantly heavier than you and adjusted it previously.

rsv gone!
