Or... he understands that he paved the way for such things in this country, and they were all there performing because of him, some directly in that they have posters of him on their walls or watched on TV etc. I think he came to terms with his condition quite some time ago. If he was to be so upset about the fact he can't do it anymore, his home wouldn't be filled to the brim with his bike stuff.

A great man who is under appreciated and deserved the tribute.
My wife said exactly the same thing when we watched it - that it was a bit tone-deaf to have a bunch of stunt riders and drivers taking risks in front of someone who gambled and lost more than most of us would be able to cope with...
But they must have checked with him first, surely?
Anyway, enjoyed it, ashamed to say I'd never heard of him. And how amazing is his carer at interpreting him? Unbelievable.

Not sure if Paddy is old enough to be playing Evel Kenivel toys but I bet he didn't know CCMs otherwise he would have mentioned Bolton, alot.
Definitely a deserved tribute.

Watched it with my Mrs and son tonight and I am not ashamed to say that I shed a tear or 2 throughout the piece. It brought back a lot of memories for me and I thought it pretty well done too.You just know he will have been absolutely buzzing sat there watching the bike display at the end.
For those who are interested in Eddie.
He stared in the film 'Riding High' where he jumps the Blackwater River for real. It's a daft sort of comedy film but the jump at the end is good. The music is also good. If you can find the film, made 1979 IIRC.
He did a book titled 'crawling From The Wreckage'
He beat all Evel Knievels records, he also beat Evel's son's records, including jumping the fountains at Caeser's Palace.

Sound advice. 
I was in tears at the end - what a great tribute!
Eddie is just a year younger than me and I have vivid memories of his exploits in the 80s when I was still riding bikes like I had stolen them. The main difference is he had talent whereas I was just lucky.
Well done Paddy - he even managed a jump on a bike!
