What do the PH massive think of this? £35k limited production run, so probably all sold out already, but it does look nice:

I wonder if this would be a good investment opportunity.....

Nah terrible, they've taken a a KTM SDR 1290 RR (£20K) put some bling on with no other performance mods and charging you an additional £15K for the privilege.

I'm sure they will sell, but I'd rather have a stock bike which I current have a '20 Gen 3.

I liked the video and the look of the bike but I actually burst out into a loud belly laugh at my desk when I saw they were asking almost £35k for it.

I would certainly question the sanity of anyone ordering one. You still need to put up with the poor UK dealer coverage from KTM and have paid £15k extra for that.

Not for me. I'm oot.

Expensive styling job ...at least the other silly £35k nakeds from MV and Ducati are a bit more "special". Not for me, I would go Italian for that money.

Personally I can't stand the regular KTM styling of jagged downward pointing bits everywhere and a face like an insect. I'd suspect I'd quite like one otherwise, but to me, almost all their bikes are unspeakably ugly. And I'm not overly keen on the bright orange colour, either.

The Brabus might look like a CB1000R, but frankly that's a vast improvement. Not a £15k improvement though - not by a long chalk.

I remember seeing a G Wagon at Goodwood one year on the Brabus stand. It had €488k of extras on it above the standard vehicle….

Looks like an almost universal 'meh' reaction so far!!!
So, hypothetically, if you had £35k to invest in a bike, what would you choose? Maybe buy 2 bikes??

The thing is that there is always a fair number of wealthy individuals, bonus payment burning a hole in their Savile Row waistcoat pocket that can afford a 35K bike or a 150K car without too much soul searching. To be honest, a fair few techy types could afford to buy one of them for a few months wages too.

I still get quite a few heads turned and admiring glances at my ancient Speed Trip that I somehow acquired for 1100 quid in 2019 (which seems an age away in terms of bike prices).

Was tempted, but for the price give or take a bit. I’m tempted by the CCM titanium bike, beautiful machine.

Barbus : overpriced bling on a motorbike but their cars are nuts - if incredibly expensive.
