On road rider training— Yorkshire

Hello.

It would be great to get a recommendation from a friendly pistonheads member

Ive been riding for a long time but its always been sporadic, eg another child comes along and I don’t ride for a bit, then its winter so don’t ride for a bit and then when i finally get out it’s for short bursts between dealing with 100000x family commitments!

I brought my bike out of winter hibernation and I’ve started to feel unconfident in the twisties especially if its damp. I don’t have a sports bike so its not like I’m trying to get my knee down (Tenere 700)

It would be great to have a day with someone who can help build my confidence up again.

I’m in Halifax so well located in the Pennines opening up options around west yorks / lancs

From a fellow Yorkie.. i2i motorcycle academy ...find them on website as titled above...they are VERY good.

Another vote for i2i academy just outside York, they do on road training as well as airfield and reasonably priced too. When I had a 2 year break riding/driving following a big accident I tried one of their courses and ended up doing all of them.

Joining a local RoSPA group is also very cheap, but as always with group activities much depends on how you gel with the instructor you get assigned.
