Triumph Street Triple R stolen - Edinburgh - 9 June

Hi all,

I just wanted to try and raise awareness that my 2008 Triumph Street Triple R was stolen today (9 June 2022) from the motorcycle parking bay on Coates Gardens, Edinburgh (55.94660261059994, -3.221350701702645). It was stolen at some point between 9am and 5pm.

Licence plate P3CYL
Frame number ends 385038

If anyone in Edinburgh sees or hears anything I would be grateful if you would let me know. Also, if there is some type of Edinburgh motorcycle related facebook page I would be grateful if someone would post the details there for me as I don't have facebook.

Appreciate most likely it will never be seen again.

That’s a nightmare, sorry to hear.

I thought it had been stamped out after one of the poor little darlings killed themselves during a stolen chase..

Anyway, I’m not on FB anymore, but I was when mine got stolen, try to get a post in this group:



That’s the one I used and I thankfully got mine back within an hour… much to the anger of the Police who then threatened me with arrest for going after the c**ts that took mine..

The Policy Officers couldn’t arrest the little promising footballers even though they knew who it was.

They’re fking useless.

I'll keep an eye out, but they're normally being ragged around the usual st estates with zero mechanical sympathy, in all honesty you'd probably not want it back.

Do you mean Coates Gardens btw? The M/C parking bay? In broad daylight, with a view to the main street?

I'm a member of the above FB group, there's been a huge spat of thefts around Edinburgh.

Its very concerning.

Yes, I meant Coates Gardens. Couldn't believe (1) someone would have the brass neck to steal a motorcycle in a central area with lots of people around and (2) no one did a thing about it (although I could understand if it was just put in the back of a van).

Unfortunately it appears there's no cctv coverage of the street.
