Hi all

Can anyone recommend a company to move my Ducati Monster between SE London and Worcester please? I found an old thread where Podman was recommending motomovers.uk (and have a call in to them) but wondering if anyone else has used a business they were pleased with?

Cheers

Just to add Motomovers.uk aren't operating any more, just heard back from them.

Give John @ JRP Motorcycles a call - 07980 806 387

He recently collected my GSR750 from Yorkshire and delivered it to Surrey for a very reasonable price. Can't fault his service at all. He's based in Ashtead, Surrey.

I used a guy from eBay to deliver a bike earlier this year after a couple of the well known bike transport companys let me down, he was by far the cheapest and collected the bike and delivered super quick. His eBay user name is 0127scirocco based in Brentwood Essex.

His name's Scott 07775 585720

I’ve used Rob from RJF Motorcyle Logistics before and he’s been spot on and I’ll use him again in the future if need be.

I will add that I was always a bit dubious about Shiply although I'd used them several times without an issue (mostly I was sending bikes, the buyers opted to use Shiply)

I have now had an issue and they want absolutely no part in trying to resolve matters, nor will they suspend / remove the courier from their site

Don't get excited, I haven't lost any money but it's shown that should your bike go missing you could be in a real mess - same is true of any Courier really

But I had assumed that as you pay Shiply's fee directly, they would take some steps to sort it out - in the same way that Ebay does

I took a punt on a Shipley courier for a cheap bike and he was great, decent price and did exactly as he said he would, specialises in bikes (not all do on Shipley just chuck them in the back of a Luton!) and based in Cotswolds

Would use him again but would go direct

Ben Butterworth. You’ll find him on Facebook. Really good service and a reasonable price.

SE London to Worcester? I'd ride it and get the train back.

May have too but it's a tedious 180 mile motorway ride, and c.4 hours of train/tube back. And then the reverse when I come to collect it (plus time off work there too due to other commitments). If I was retired I'd be fine!

Yes, Brexit killed it for him (he did a lot of European work as well), big shame.

Ive used Full Throtte as mentioned above, they where great in terms of price and service.

Im in south east london with a bike MOT station and I do have a van for collections, However, I don't go too far, as It would take a whole day for that job.

I've used A2B motorcycle movers 4 times now, cheaper than trying to get there myself, turn up when they say and huge converted vans to carry them in - they've also bought boxes with the spares in as well.

Happily recommend them, and have on many occasions

Not helpful for the OP, but I had a bike returned to me after an insurance repair organised by 4th Dimension.
Properly organised van, with all manner of straps/holding down gear. Extremely polite, well presented Polish driver with very loud opera blaring out of the stereo(!!!!)
I wish I could remember what his outfit was called.....
