Clarkson last night
Discussion
I wouldn't be surprised if that sort of drivel spurted from that mis-informed, badly opinionated, badly dressed Daily Mirror reader. He clearly has no level on which to form or base any motoring opinion other than that the average public enjoy a controversial angle. Someone like Tiff Needell has valuable motoring experience on which a good opinion can be deduced from his work. Unlike JC who still can't get his ageing, balding fat head around how to operate a sequential manual box. Tw@
As for the biking perspective, JC's two colleagues, the vertically and aesthetically challenged brown-nosers both ride motorcycles and have tried to get the two wheeled variety reviewed by TopGear but to no avail as the big-pig says NO.
Oh yeah and to end this rant, who on God's planet would even suggest any of the five tracks that they crumbly put forward for best driving song? Get a life you losers and buy a copy of Pearl Jam's 'Ten'. WTFI Meat Loaf anyway, didn't he present The Big Breakfat (Sp noted)

I thought it was quite amusing that he had his rant about bikers and noisy bikes speeding through his village - only seconds after raving about the sound of the exhaust of some new rocket propelled turbo'd 4 wheel something that has a "trick dump valve" so you can hear the exhaust note " 2 miles away" quote - unquote.
Irony, Jeremy?
Irony, Jeremy?
Lets face it he's a tw
t when it comes to bikes and bikers as he just doesn't get it.
Does anyone really take him that seriously? Yes he's funny but I took little notice of his ill judged ramblings about bikes.
Exactly what is the difference between a loud bike and a loud car? Not much apart from the fact that he likes cars.
Best bet is to ignore his stupid comments or just don't watch him at all.
Me? I'll stick with noisy bikes and cars as I ride and drive both and ignore his cr
p about bikes and bikers.

He's alienating a non-inconsiderable chunk of his audience!
Hardly, if you're that sensitive to other people's opinions you'd be hiding at the bottom of a well in no time judging by some of the opinions I hear on a day to day basis. Watch it if you like it, don't if you don't... it's only tv.

does anyone remember when he put a 996 turbo against an R1, a lot of people say it was rigged, remember when Tiff Nedell put a Lambo against a MV Agusta F4 1000 the bike won by like 10 secs, in my opinion Clarkson takes the piss out of bikes because he knows thier quicker and alot cheaper, if i saw him driving alot i would punch his wing mirror off for sure, personally i would love to see him at the lights in his GT 40 and embarass him to the next set on my R1 and then spend the whole time whist stationary at the next set calling him a w*nker, failing that, tieing his leg to the back of a Range Rover and taking it through some rocky bumpy dirt tracks would be good too-sorry rant over i just hate the guy.

I don't like it, so I don't watch it. Bring back Fifth Gear; far superior and objective information to that provided by Top Gear. JC is a has-been that spends most of his time behind the camera trying to boost his ageing and somewhat boring image. I would love to see a track session with JC against TN in Ferrari's. I wonder who would win?
does make me laugh, he gets all giddy because the new aston has a "flap" in the exhaust so that you can hear it two miles away then slags off loud bikes - his time has past, bring back VBH!!
and now the hamster is writing for MCN, maybe he'll develope some Cajones over the summer break and stand up to Clarkson.......not going to happen is it?

I agree completely, but plenty of people do take offense to these things!
In Top Gear mag this month, one biker has written in to complain about Clarkson's comments and then he bases his whole column on it. He is a total hypocrite, as he describes all the things that annoy just about every one else and then says bikes are the only thing that annoy him. I somehow doubt this and he is just trying to make bikers look bad.

Don't let it bother you, he's clearly too chicken to try a bike, and knows it gets him lots of press coverage when he slags us off. Water off a ducks back to me really, the guy had to spend thousands on driver training so he could look good on camera, driving round an airfield. Whoop e doo.
I'm sure I recall some racer or another offering him a pillion seat round a track and curly turned him down. Presumably JC hasn't the balls for it?
Having said that I find Clarkson entertaining for the most part. I feel he is in the habit of making over the top, intentionally offensive, ridiculous statements for comedy effect. And also to provoke reactions from people like us, publicising him and thus fuelling his already over-inflated ego further
Anyway, everyone knows bikes are better than cars and Clarkson is no exception!
