Do you think this is something learned before taking the test? A lot of m/c riders on L plates seem to take the stupidest risks.

I'd assume that's just through those on L-Plates being generally much younger, and so less experienced, more naïve and arrogant.
I rode like a bellend when I was 17 on my YZF R-125. I cringe in hindsight.

Same on my GP 100. No wonder I failed my test!

No it’s not. It’s yet more bks designed to create artificial division between people.

I’ve been a cyclist and motorcyclist for over twenty five years. There is vastly more in common between those groups than separates them.

And there are dheads in both groups.
This. x100.

The hate I encounter just simply riding my push bike to work is astounding.

I also ride a motorbike, so naturally I look out for myself when cycling too.

Morons will morons whatever mode of transport they use, hate being created between groups is dangerous

I do both, feel a certain kinship between both and sometimes chat to cyclists at the lights. But some are lemmings.

In the dhead category I guess we're adding a certain journo who loves to insist it's everyone else's fault on twitter.

I clicked on this thinking there could be some interesting discussion point here, but no, just a moronic Facebook meme being shared.

One of the many things that I have noticed as I've gotten older is the increasing inability of people to understand and accept that things can be said in humour. Too many people are often just too eager to take offence, many feel it is there duty to take offence on behalf of others. I don't think every other road user is a hired hit man, and nor, I suspect, do harldy any motorcyclists, but I get the humour!

In my experience as a cyclist and a driver it is the other way round.

For proof spend a few hours driving in the area around Matlock, in a car, on a Sunday.

OP here, thanks. I did just think it was funny. Maybe adding my own comment lit the fuse.

Oh well frown

Agreed.

I ride a push bike and a motorcycle though not at the same time.

The motorcycle not insured for travel to work. Push bike is a snotter I could have got for free. If it gets damaged or pinched I'd see that as an opportunity to get something better used for two-three times what I gave for it.

This thread like the Rev Bombing one has me wondering what the Anti-Bike is? The motorcycle that says I am not one of those types of motorcyclist. Is it a late 90s Telever front unfaired BMW? Not having a motorcycle and forgeting I passed my test when I was a kid would distance me from rev bombing confrontationalist DCWs on motorcycles.

I stop at them, like I do when riding motorcycles or driving my car.

Fair comment, I just had a tough journey cycling in this morning, shouted at more than usual :-)

Or ASLs? Or Zigzag line road markings?
