Good morning all,
Thinking about getting some floor tiles for the garage.
Preferably something that will not be damaged by motorcycles on centre stands, and not black to add some colour / light.
There's lots of choice out there and just wondering if anyone has good experience / recommendations.
Many thanks!
Mike

Had dyno tile down for about 10 years, really pleased with them. Not the cheapest but clip together to resist water getting under and give a bit of insulation. Nice to work on, dont feel cold even in winter.

Wouldn't have black again though, they always look dusty, would just go grey.

I went with light grey ones from Garage Style.

Sure they are a branded name, but can’t remember right now.

Decent enough, they do mark but can be cleaned up OK.

After reading a fair few threads on here about this I went with EcoTile mainly because they have been around for a number of years so if I moved house I knew I could get more of the same tiles. They do colour options and ramp edges.

I have classic bikes on centre stands and they will cause marks on the tiles and possible indentations. I use a couple of spare tiles and off cuts under the stands so they don't damage the main tiles. I did the same under the feet of a bike lift I had and no signs of damage to the main tiles.

I have Duratile in my shed. I did have to wait a while until they were in stock though.

I went with a package from the aptly named Garage Floor Tile Company, they are a part of Ecotile which is highly regarded on the other thread linked.

Had a read… and thanks for the recommendations. They are a bit more spendy than I was expecting for what is a “nice to have”.

That what I thought

I've been thinking about commercial vinyl flooring or the 3mm rubber flooring

The heavy duty vinyl flooring like the NHS use is pretty good. But it's not tiles.

Mate has this in his garage and it looks excellent.

If you've just come out of hospital it might not be the best as it might give you flashbacks though smile

I went for a gel backed carpet. I just do work on the r and g mats then get the Dyson out when I'm done. Realise it's not tiles though.
