never skimp on 2stroke oil quality .. my 1984 DT125 is still going strong. drain the engine every 1000 miles, and use only the best oil. at 17bhp, its good for those times when there's a domino's pitza biker in front !!

Silkolene Pro 2. Good stuff

Any fully synthetic - Rock, Silkolene pro 2, or possibly Castrol R for those lovely race fumes MMMMmmMMMM but don't forget to change the whole lot for Castrol R as mineral oils won't mix with it...

Use the best you can afford - a rebuild is a pain in the *rse
