Anyone bought a top level speedway bike and converted it to road legal?

Not a modern one!

My brother had a 1920s Douglas speedway bike that had been converted to the road.

It had a gearbox, clutch and front brake fitted.

Not sure it would be as easy on a modern one though!

Plus they run on Methanol ISTR. Might be a bit of a struggle filling up at the local Tesco.

Always supposing there are no right hand corners on the way there.

I would think you could possibly convert one to run on normal gas fuel, but it's a bit like trying tog et a top Fuiel dragster to run on the road, I mean why would you!
