Whilst idly musing about buying a sportsbike for a bit of fun, I saw this advertised. All seemed normal, until the first photo which prompted me to look at the other. Does anyone know what this is attached to the right front brake calliper? The strap seems to go back over the headstock and then reappear near the left hand switchgear. I was thinking some sort of contraption like a disc lock, it can’t work out how it works, or if it’s not then what the hell is it? It’s on a 2018 to ZX10R if that matters.

Looks like Brock’s Performance, for drag racing. I’d probably look at another bike.

A what? And why? I’m hoping this is a wind up, because how does having something pulling down on the brake caliper on one side help with anything?

I’m not going to buy it, so no worries there, I saw it and was intrigued. Wouldn’t surprise me if it’s something for drag racing actually, because they’re all idiots here who will add any sort of tat to their bikes even if it makes it pretty much unrideable in every day situations.

The other side would be connected in use https://store.schnitzracing.com/brocks-front-end-l...

It's a front end lowering strap as said, used by muricans usually.

What a crock! I've never seen the like. So basically, compress the forks with a pair of straps to help keep the front down? Heath Robinson would be proud of them.

Presumably the next thing will be a clip to keep the throttle wide open for maximum power? rolleyes

It's for drag racing, less wheelie and more acceleration

I hear you, but.....fit some proper suspension then! Not some half-assed lash-up. It's not as if a ZX6 is going to running sub-10 quarters anyway!
