Or i can stretch the stops and rest at Bordeaux both ways.

I'd be looking at cheap accommodation but also could I sleep easy?

Still take a disc lock?

Any recommendations for cheap places?

Don't know on your definition of cheap, but look up La Maison Ribotteau in L'Isle-Jourdain. Tried to do a link but it's a pain

It depends where you’re starting from and what time .
On Thursday I left my home in Eymet at 6am,drove to Calais ,took the tunnel and drove up to Cheshire. It was 806 miles and 16 hours in total. In a van.

Look online for some possible hotels then email them directly to ask. Many will provide secure parking.

That said, out of city bike parking has never been an issue for the Old Gits trips.
