My Street Triple is almost 5yrs old now and in the colder months the battery was struggling a bit so I'm thinking of changing the battery. Are there any reasonable lighter batteries worth going for? I use the bike a lot between now and October for work and other things.

If it’s turning over ok now I’ll stick my neck out and say it will be ok for summer.

If you aren’t happy with it go for a new Yuassa.

People will be along recommending £100+ li-ion but it won’t really be an upgrade.

That's a great price, and the Leoch battery on my little bike has performed well despite a lot of neglect, but you can get batteries in the same size with notably more cranking amps.
With the Ducatis, I've always gone for Yuasa, as a few more amps always helps.

Lithium batteries are good, but I'm in no rush to trust one with Italian charging designed for lead/acid.
