1988 scruffy 250 Honda bought

With high miles and no logbook… so I bought it for £350.
It runs, well until you put it in gear, I’ll look for a side stand issue.
Electrics work, it’s unloved.
There is a working key, some panels and a seat cover.
Guess I just liked the look of it.
I don’t remember ever seeing one on the road.

Whoa that is ace. I got my motorcycle learners permit at Honda (in Australia) way back and after a couple of days of using CD250's they wheeled out a VT250F in the style of the one here and a VT250 Spada - hot damn! The VT250F did have normal disk brakes - not the enclosed brakes like the earlier VT250's (and the one in this post).
That’s a cool looking bike, for not much money.. low risk biking
It definitely has VT250/VF400F vibes.. If the mileage is accurate, just drop the oil and replace the filter & it’ll keep going forever #honda
I had a VF400F back in 1990, and I remember those inboard brakes were not the greatest idea.
Nothing but great memories of that bike though

As inboard front brakes never made the CBR600 I conclude they're a bit.....It definitely has VT250/VF400F vibes.. If the mileage is accurate, just drop the oil and replace the filter & it’ll keep going forever #honda

The VF500F in red, white and blue was a great looking bike.
Had lots to do on our cars and my rc36... Finally managed a bit on the vtr, new clutch switch installed, clutch cable arrived today.
Some of my new vfr friends in America, suggest they are prone to clutch plates sticking so I'll first fit the new cable and take it from there.
As it's a usa import the headlight is on constant, previous owner out a switch on, it is a bit knackered, I have fitted a small modern rocker switch.
Badly bent number plate holder has been removed, straightened, cleaned, primed and painted.
Tomorrow I'll see if she can be made to drive... Result of that decides if I service or start pulling apart.
