I wouldn't. You pay for quality IMO - who's to say these won't fall apart in 3 months / if you come off.

Stick to reputable makes and pay a bit more - it's worth it.

Thats what i was thinking they look too cheap but also they seem to have all the right armor and CE protection on them.

Ive brought a new pair of gloves from the seller and they where good quality. Plus the fact if i upgrade the bike for the £275 with postage i could sell them on...Dainese are nice bit of kit but a bit pricey at a grand!

Most of theses suits are badly made with CE armour in them to make them appear to be quality. A suit should be made primarily from a single uncut piece of leather. Then if the design requires, different coloured panels and bits may be stitched on top.

You will find with these ones that where they are different in colour then the leather is just two pieces stitched together and holds no strength whatsoever. Best ones to look at as an example are the copy Clarion Suzuki ones. Look at where the blue bits are stitched on. If they were quality the the blue panel would have been stitched ontop of the existing white panel. However to save money they have just joined the two pieces together with no regard for your safety at all. These types of suit are only any use for dressing dummys in for displayss etc or the garage wall.

Thanks for the advice you've made up my mind i will spend a bit more and try some on at my local dealers for size and get a quality two-piece one. The probelm i always have is the leg measurements being 6ft 2" there always too short!

NEC Show is in a couple of weeks.

If you can hang on until then, I'd recommend a visit. Squillions of leathers at knockdown prices. You can try them on, pull at the stitching and haggle with the dealer. Makes sense.

You could always get custom leathers from someone like Crowtree or Hideout for a similar price to new A-Stars. (Then you could get the R1 logo or whatever included in the design.)

If its any use for info, My pal has bought a set of these leathers (top ebay link) and they have been great. Pretty bright colours, but Im all for being visual.
The trousers were to small, and the dealer sent out a new set.
Nothing wrong with the stiching or anything else so far, they seem to be double stiched and the protection is of a high standard. Certainly a lot cheaper than shop prices.
They appear to be of last years design hence the price, but speaking as a dealer, the mark ups on leathers are huge, so there is no reason to suspect this user is really cutting back his margins, which may be possible due to not having staff, premises etc.
