According to MoreCrapNews today the chinese bike manfacturer Qianjiang
paid 7 million Euros and agreed to take on another 52 million euros
worth of Benelli debt.

TVR lost out mostly due to them wanting to move the production to
Blackpool from Pesaro (under strong protests from the Italian workers
union)

I believe TVR are keen to bring bikes into their range though so I expect they're still on the hunt.

I believe that the original story stated that NS paid 350,000 euros. A figure that everyone disputed as there have been many stories of this kind. The workers at the factory have known all along that the allegation was false.

Other stories have included;

(1) The purchase of KCM Moptorcycles - false.
(2) The purchase of Benelli Motorcycles - false.
(3) The manufacture of speed boats in from the Isle
of Wight - false.
(4) The manufacturer of GRP Wagon parts - false
(5) The purchase of a mansion local to Blackpool -
false up to now.

What next ?

I have heard (but this was from a reliable source) that they are looking to purchase the company that makes the problem parts of the Speed Six engine so they can control quality.

I'm not sure how old this article is but last I heard they were owned by a multin national company with one of the Ducati brothers on the board.

i dont think it really matters about TVR losing it to a chinese company, personally i love TVRs thier my favourite marque but they do have quality issues and would you really want to buy a bike with quality issues given that theres a lot less room for error on 2 wheels?, also there are quite simply a lot of other companies have far more experiance and make better bikes than the Benellis, i just dont think a TVR bike would be a realistic choice compared to Honda,Yamaha,Kawasaki,Ducati,Suzuki etc , with thier cars its a different story as they look amazing and are quicker than cars twice or even more of thier cost, but in the biking world this isnt going to be a feat they can match as bikes are a lot cheaper to make and thier pretty much all on the limit power wise, if they built a bike that is as mental as thier cars have a reputation for been then i think Rossi would be wheelieing it over the finish line.
