Sold this morning at Anglia Car Auctions for £2400 before fees so I guess the buyer will end up paying around £2600. Seems like a lot when so much else isn't even reaching its lower estimate. So, are these especially desirable now?

Bangers and Cash and Mathewsons - if someone wants it it'll go for what someone is prepared to pay.

It found the two people who wanted one and they wanted that one? A few times I've spotted a gaggle of motorcyclists seemingly heading for and returning from a biker haunt on 1980s 125s on L Plates. It's a classic someone can ride on L Plates?

Looks like there was a single bid, not in the room. You'd have thought the bidder would have wanted to see if anyone else was interested.

Nostalgia?
The new owner learnt to ride on one? Mid 50’s now, cash in his bank, fancies one for a trip down memory lane on a sunny Sunday?

This would be my memory lane motorbike , I loved it , but £20,000 !!!! And it’s along time since I owned one but I can’t remember those stripes on the tank ? I thought it was plain metallic red .

It’s strange there at ACA. I tried to buy a Cagiva Mito there a couple of months ago. Estimate was something like £600-750, I put £1100 in but it sold for about 3 grand! No idea why.

That’s an asking price…
