Can I just check this is possible - am looking to get a BT intercom and would like to be able to connect to my phone for music, while also having a connection to the pillion or other rider. The Cardo Spirit HD looks good for this, but I can't find anywhere it says it can connect to 2 devices at once (phone + 2nd intercom). I would assume it can though, so you can listen to music and talk at the same time?

The other one mentioned seems to be the Freedcom KY (https://www.amazon.co.uk/Motorcycle-Bluetooth-FreedConn-KY-Communication-Pro/dp/B09MW966NM?ref_=ast_sto_dp) which is significantly cheaper, especially if bought from AliExpress, although slightly mixed reviews. FWIW I'm unlikely to be connecting in a mesh system with a group of other riders. More just me and a single pillion or single other rider.

We've got cardo spirits and there are two ways to connect them for intercom, you can pair the headsets together on their own like a pair of walkie talkie s or you do it through the app on your phone.

When mine is connected to my phone through the app it will play music and talk on phone calls. When it's paired up to another cardo I know that it mutes them so that they can't hear you when you answer a phone call but I have no idea if it will play music at the same time as working as an intercom, I've never tried, and next time I'm out I'm going to because I've never thought of it before smile

Thinking about it you can connect multiple cardos to the app on your phone and you'd probably get a load of feedback if it wasn't doing some sort of noise cancelling so I would think that it should be possible to play music and be an intercom at the same time without everyone hearing your tunes. I bet it does it.

I only want to talk to the gf when I have to tell her to hold on, and would rather have music on the rest of the time.

Although no doubt she'll be giving a running commentary of everything we pass..... maybe I can set her set to "receive" only. hehe

I got a Cardo Packtalk Edge set for me and my wife, mine is connected to both phone (for music) and tablet (for navigation), hers is connected to her phone for music, and they are connected together so we can speak to each other. It's certainly possible to mute either manually too so she can sing along without bothering you.

Had a morning out with the missus yesterday and remembered to test this out. We've got cardo spirits and the intercom, music and sat nav instructions all worked at the same time and neither of us could hear what was going on in each others lids. It didn't mute the music whenever she spoke but I could clearly hear her over the top of the song.

It did invent a new game though. I started singing along to a song and then shut up and she would keep on singing but be all out of time because she couldn't hear it hehe
