Ducati misfire?

Any advice please, took the Multistrada (1200dvt) in for its MOT yesterday, first time out since last year, it was misfiring on small throttle openings, ok right at the bottom end pulling away, but rough 2-3k rpm (no warning lights) , would then clear if I gave it full throttle, it was low on fuel, so filled it with super plus for the ride home, tried an Italian service to no avail, any thoughts on possible cause?
