Picos Hotel Recommendations

Hi all,

Look at 10 days or so in the Picos next year, end of June probably.

WIll be a few friends and possibly a couple of wives.

I hear we must do the N621(?) and was thinking of only staying in a couple of hotels, for a few days each, with daily ride outs.

What I would like is maybe something with a nice pool in case the girls fancy a day off.

Any recommedations gratefully received!

On trips to the Picos, both with the Old Gits and with Mrs k1 in the car I've stayed a number of times at the Hotel Infantado on Ojedo/Potes.

I've always had great service and have used the pool a couple of times. It's a great location for exploring the Eastern end of the Picos and I happily recommend it.

The hotel at La Hermida has a cracking spa but the evening food wasn't great and you're missing the social aspect of Potes. We stayed in Hosteria Picos de Europa, no pools but decent rooms, good location and the owners are very bike friendly. Not been to Infantado but I'd suggest it's popular with bikers for a reason .

Fantastic area, hard to go wrong with roads and the scenery is fabulous. Plenty of wildlife for the nature lovers and great walking too.

We stayed there just three weeks ago. Very bike friendly, bikes can park directly outside but cars (like us) had to go to a rough-ground 'car park' at the back of the supermarket 100 yds away. Plenty of nice places to eat in Potes, too.
