Any recommendations for a cooler glove.
I am in mesh jacket, petforated leather jeans.
My hands are sweating. Any advice appreciated.

I was about to recommend these alpinestars (I bought mine from Bikers World) which I use around town

But I was shocked to see the top hit is from Shein - are they copies or are the genuine gloves made in China and these have left by the back door ?

I live in the desert.

Best I’ve had are bmw motorad ‘airflow’ gloves but generally any short cuff perforated leather is fine and preferable to textile.

Id not be wanting to take the risk when it comes to how easily it will be to wipe my own arse if I crash.

Ive got some BKS ones. Wasn't a fan to start with (work provided) and then i got used to them. I purchased some for outside work.

£100 for some or £150 for the newer model. I've got both.

I was more wondering if mine were fake - a bit like the Horse meat scandal - who knows where shops are sourcing their stock

I used my bikes for years five days a week going round all parts of Southern London area due to contract work. When the weather was hot, I wore less clothes and definitely rode slower on fast roads and even more defensively in town. As for gloves, I would usually wear a pair of my trail riding gloves. Basically, Enduro or motocross gloves. Plenty of feel, some protection but definitely much cooler than ordinary gloves. Ride to your apparel!

Had some Held Desert gloves since 2017 when riding a couple of weeks in hot temps and desert in US for a couple of weeks. Back in the UK they get worn for a few weeks per year on the warmest days so should last me out

I have a pair of Goldtop for waring with my mesh jacket.
Think they are the predator style.
They are nicely made, comfortable and reasonably cool.

I have the Alpinestars gloves above, purchased from sportsbikeshop, so hopefully real ones!

I use them or Knox Orsa textile gloves.

I've seen MX gloves palms rip in 20mph falls on tarmac they're almost pointless for road use IMO

Does anyone ride to their apparel?

I popped 5 miles to my mum's last night, testing my new wheels on my KTM 500, 70+ in places, maybe it's a country v town thing but I'll be 70+ within seconds of leaving my drive

Yes I ride to my apparel, if the weathers scorching and im popping 1/2 mile into town where ill barely reach 30-40 mph ill wear shorts and t shirt and ride very carefully.

If im riding 8 miles to work on the 50mph limit roads il wear bike jacket and gloves and just wear my work trousers and boots.

If im out on a fast blast with friends its full kit.

In response to the OP's question I've got furygan mesh gloves with thin leather palms, they're lovely and light, i wouldn't want to take liberties wearing them as they're thin but for my commute or careful riding they're absolutely fine.

I'm using Rev It sand 5s. Awesome glove - very airy but decent protection, including a hard palm slider.

Held Air n Dry. Been using them for years and without doubt the best Spring / Summer / Autumn glove I've tried.

For "Winter" (i.e. when it's really cold) heated gloves are the way forward.

I bought a pair of Rich Squadrons last weekend. They are very comfortable and flow an adequate volume of air. Worth a look.

I got Furygan Jet D30's, I liked them so much I bought two pairs, because I know that whenever I find something that I like, they usually stop making it. :-)
