Suzuki Launch new GSX-8T and GSX-8TT Retro Naked Twins
Discussion
Suzuki have announced 2 new retro naked bikes based on the GSX-8S platform.
Look good in my opinion and should suit the torque rich engine. Link to MCN story below.

Prices look quite punchy as well. the 'T' is £9,599 OTR where as the '8S' is currently being offered at £7,499 (includes an £800 discount). The only technical differences as far as I can see are LED indicators and a UBC charging port. The engine, gearbox, suspension, frame, brakes, are all the same.
I quite like the styling of the 'T' but don't think it's as nice as a Kawasaki 900RS.

They look quite similar to a lot of the middleweight Chinese nakeds to me, like CFMoto 700 CL
Good point. I really like the look of the earlier, gold forks and blue highlights and gold wheels 700 CL-X 'heritage' or whatever they called the non Sport single front disc one. I've sat on one in a dealers. They sold one cheap that I missed out on eBay. It's the headlamp surround and forks giving it that 700 CL-X look to my eyes. Kiska the firm who designed the KTM Duke 790 styled the 700 CL-X too. So fair play for Suzuki ripping off a Kiska design.image from YouTube review by owner LifeOfBurch:

Thanks, OP. I learnt of it here first. I've considered a discounted GSX-8S at my local dealer but it may've been that price due to a Suzuki promo.
I want a better headlight next time. If these have a better headlight than than GSX-8S and GSX-8R than I may be interested in these. I don't like the 8 badge on the radiator ends. It's like the Brabus or Bentley B. I like the colours, especially the green if it's gloss and not matt or satin on the TT. Bigger tank and more range.
The official video shows bikes making a nice noise.
Is it desirable? From my perspective if you want a retro bike and don't need ULEZ emission standards then why not get an old bike? The PHer who imported that ZX-7R from Germany showed images with other bikes in the background. From those images I learnt Kawasaki did a Zephyr with wire spoked wheels. I've seen one on Autotrader with rebuilt or new wheels at a decent price. Two bikes in I've not PCPed so didn't need to go new to get finance and so if paying cash, why not get another bike that is retro?
The cost to change for me is probably comparable to buying a used bike or new scooter.
I am more into the forthcoming Super Dream era styled retro version of the new Hornet 1000.
It's good to have the choice. My problems with the GSX-8 range is fussy paint finishes and a poor headlight. These new versions may address those issues for me.
OK checked colours, the green on the TT faired one is matt green QU5. The green on the 'naked' one is also matt. Shame it's like an Aston Martin colour or that green on the Guzzi Mandello.

WHERE did bike styling go so wrong?
Remember the excitement of Eurostyle Hondas, Comstars, Suzuki two strokes, the Katana, bike identity!
God, this is boring, by the numbers rubbish.
No wonder bike sales are slow. Yet in Spain, loads of bikes. Sure, low capacity, t-shirts and skirts and having fun, screw safety, there is the issue.

Thumbs up from me, think they look great. Remind me of some of the bikes from a particular Anime film.
I'll agree with Ecosseven, not as nice as the more traditionally styled Z900RS, but I think there is room for these in the market and will sell well if Suzuki keep up their 0% offers.
