I know enduro/super enduro doesn’t get much love in here, but Red Bull Tyne ride returns to the Quayside again on the 30th August.

Last years event was mint and I’ve no doubt this year will be the same again.

Free to attend too.

Few pics I took from our vantage point last year.

That looks great. Anyone who has ridden off road a little knows how much skill this takes.

Be interesting to see how JW22 does on the Triumph.

He could do very well I’d say.

But …

It’s a bit of a unique event and the course is set up as a bit of a mix of enduro, trials and MTB with riders from all disciplines taking part.

Last year Toby Martin could very nearly have won it.
Eddie Karlson on the electric Stark was pushing hard and really unlucky.
Then you’ve got the Brightmore twins who are so exciting to watch and like a pair of handgrenades, assuming they are taking part either of them could very easily win it.

Billy Bolt will win it though.

One highlight last year was seeing the rear tyres of the Starks smoking on the short bursts on tarmac between each section, those things are absolute weapons.

Can you tell I’m looking forward to it again?

The thing most people fail to appreciate is that a couple of riders make the pack look like amateurs

Yet the pack are great riders, it's just an bloody hard course
