Afternoon All,

Hoping for some suggestions or advice. For as long as I can remember I've admired bikes like the XJR1300, GSX1400 and ZRX1200. I sold a GS1200 earlier in the year and would like to finally add a muscle bike to my small collection. The problem is, unless I'm missing something, there doesn't seem to be anything that replaced the bikes I mentioned. I do keep an eye out for a nice low mileage bike but they are very rare. Most I've seen are pretty rough and 30k+ miles.

Any suggestions or bikes to consider up to around £10k?

Many Thanks

You're a bit under what a Yamaha VMX1700 VMax goes for. You're well into Ducati Diavel territory though. And HD V-Rods.

It's a description we are all familiar with and perhaps use but is it now out of date ?
Many smaller capacity machines now and some with power similar to that produced by much bigger engines of older design.
I can see 1300 from BMW and 1390 from KTM etc , however I don't think it's the direction of travel, excuse the pun .

I had a K1300 for a while and then a 1200 multistruggler. I am on the way down again favourite right now at 700 cc.

My father-in-law has the X-diavel V2 and it's an absolute monster.
I've never ridden anything with forward controls and that much power, it pulls wheelies and you're practically lying down.

I'd 100% recommend one. It even handles well.

Oops. Didn’t read the small print. Sorryfrown

While the Rocket III can be had for £10k I concede the Rocket 3 starts at £12k

I deleted my post as I didn't pick up on that bit. I often see XJR1300s so they feature in my default window shopping displacement activity.

I like a good muscle bike. I have had a few. I still have my old CB1000 Custom that I bought in 1998.

The surprising one that really stands out to me at around £10k is the Harley 1250 S Sporster.
I tried one the other day and it was very very nice indeed.
I like the looks, especially the fat front tyre. I think it wont age.
Goes like the wind too. It really does. That engine is supreme.
I noticed a nearly new one on Ebay for £9k with 100 miles on the clock.

Has anyone managed to wheelie a Rocket 3 yet?
