Waiting for a couple of bits to be ordered and fitted before delivery. 75 plate ex demo ( one ride /29 miles) . Saved 5k over list price with extras , but still a bit more than I ideally would have liked to pay. Financed mostly by Dream Car Giveaways. Personally think I’ll enjoy this more than a Suzuki Jimny.biggrin

Nice,

A Diavel is one of those bikes, along with a GS that I feel I should give a go for at least once.

That's a gorgeous colour tank. Very classy. I may not have one of those before. I am not used to seeing them with a tank that shape and I've not seen that exhaust before.

Do they have a frame? I am asking as someone posted a photo of a Ducati that doesn't have a frame in another thread.

It doesn't have a tube frame like old Ducatis, they've gone to cast aluminium "monocoques" now.

This is the new V4-powered one rather than the original twins.

Thanks Krikkit. It looks great, but I wasn't that interested in Diavels until I saw a yellow framed one at a multi-franchise 2-3 years ago. Part of the appeal of the old ones to me may be the colour of the frames.

It's probably the format and the V4 but V-Max crossed my mind.

Exactly this! biglaugh

I can't make them out, they're just beast like!!

Nice one OP - what's it like to ride, anything you'd compare it to? Also - what did you win on DCG? (Ignore the latter if you want - it's of no bearing to anything I'm just being nosey.)

Edit - Suzuki Jimny - I should read more carefully!

Thanks for the positive comments.

So it’s Lava Black (+ £300 option)

It’s an X Diavel which is feet forward ( mid pegs are available but will see how we get on with it first).
I believe it’s a bit longer and bit lower than a normal Diavel and gets rid of the big air intakes on the front of the bike and different rear wheel design which makes it look a bit more subtle( in the grand scheme of things)
Same basic engine as a V4 multi so approx 168 bhp.
Shame about the £5k plus Akrapovic exhaust option!!
Not test ridden it so going in blind as it were.
Online reviews all seem pretty positive with the exception of it being a bit lumpy around town due to rear cylinders deactivation but shouldn’t be too much of a concern.

She looks stunning! I've not ridden one, but I have had that engine in a Pikes Peak; it's a cracker! The cylinder deactivation wasn't a noticeable issue in the multi, so ignore the reviews,

Looks amazing, congrats!

I think I'm more shocked by the fact that Stoke has a Ducati dealership. hehe

Nice, cool looking bike (apart from the selfie-stick number plate).

Definitely the best kind of cruiser - i.e. one with power. thumbup

Evotech tail tidy on order already. I don’t dislike the original, just think the Evotech one looks better. Oil cooler and radiator guards coming too, don’t fancy replacing them!

The guards are a good idea. I don't mind the crud catcher selfie stick.

The colour does make me think Alfa Romeo. I like that it's that colour on the front mudguard too.

That standard exhaust looks great to my eyes.

Absolutely love that colour! My riding buddy has a 2019 Diavel (think it's an S, I'm not particularly clued up on them).

It's one of those bikes that just doesn't seem to fit any category and I love it for that. I think I'll own one at some point.

Enjoy!
