Pretty gutted. MCN says 40 years but Jim effectively took over TT Leathers, so yonks. Real shame to see a landmark from my parents hometown disappear.

Jimmy Aird - legendary motocrosser and all-round good bloke. So sorry it had to end this way.

And as hiccy said, he carried on the remains of TT leathers, the shop from which I bought my first Bell Star II helmet in 1972. I pointed out the old shop frontage to Mrs Rooster just the other day.

My scott leathers probably saved my life when i crashed at thruxton at big speed, many lifetimes ago.
Sad to see them go
